YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Brandy Marie Burgess passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2026 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown.
She was born on November 21, 1981 with spina bifida.

Brandy went to Easter Seals, PC Bunn Volney Rogers Jr. High and graduated with the Rayen High School class of 2003.
She was blessed to meet some of her favorite people: Hulk Hogan, Kenny Rogers, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Dolly Parton.
Since graduating from school, Brandy worked at the Purple Cat, where she was a country DJ for the Golden String Radio.
She leaves behind her parents whom she lived with, John and Charlotte Burgess of Youngstown; brother, Robert (Amber) Simmons of Warren; and her sister, Candice (Anthony) Simmons of Struthers; she also leaves four nieces and four nephews.
Brandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Ruby Burgess, and Shirley L. Eakins; Uncle Atty. Richard Burgess; and her sister, Deborah L. Bosak.
She will be missed by Barbara and Ray MacLellan of Novia Scotia, Canada; Kathi and Dall Williams of Austintown; Uncle Dwight (Kim) Cleland of Masury and Uncle Mark (Terri) Cleland of Austintown.
Brandy also leaves her second family, The Martini’s of Hubbard whom she considered her uncles and aunts. She will be missed at all of the parties.
There will be a celebration of life from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at The Purple Cat, 4738 McCartney Road, Lowellville, OH 44436.
Arrangements are being handled by the Borowski Funeral Services & Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
