Taylor Swift’s former music video director Joseph Kahn appreciated her “down to earth” wedding seating chart.
“For the record, I liked the no VIP seating at Taylor’s wedding,” Kahn, 53, wrote via X on Wednesday, July 8. “Everyone who attended can come down to earth and check their ego with their phones for a minute.”
He added, “It’s not a club. It’s a wedding.”
Swift, 36, married Travis Kelce on Friday, July 3, in a star-studded ceremony inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden arena. Ahead of the ceremony, it had been reported that Swift and Kelce, also 36, opted for a phone-free celebration.
Swift and Kelce, who have been together since 2023, have not publicly shared any details of their big day. After the newlyweds exchanged vows, digital billboards outside MSG simply read “JusT&T Married” to announce the milestone. A spokesperson for Swift also issued a press release confirming the duo’s marriage.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom,” the statement read. “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. [Both of] their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
The statement further confirmed that Swift’s brother, Austin, served as her “Man of Honor” while Kelce’s brother, Jason, was the best man in lieu of a traditional bridal party.
“The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler,” the statement concluded.
The white-veiled occasion, which followed an enchanted garden theme, became especially emotional when the bride and groom exchanged vows.
“Taylor was emotional while reciting her vows but kept her composure,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this week. “You could tell she put a lot of work and time into writing her vows. Travis teared up more than Taylor. They shared very personal details and anecdotes that some guests had never even heard before.”
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed arcade games, luxury raffle prizes, food stations with a variety of options and performances by Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.
“Once the music started, everyone just blended into one huge dance party,” a second insider told Us. “Travis had a huge smile. Taylor looked like she was having the absolute best time. She was smiling and dancing nonstop. The energy was unreal from start to finish.”
As for Kahn, he gushed via Instagram the next day that he had a “wonderful time” at Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
“I got to meet Steven Spielberg and the lovely Kate Capshaw and talk filmmaking with the GOAT (lifelong dream achieved),” Kahn wrote on Saturday, July 4. “What I will say about the wedding was it was so much funnier and emotional than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate. And yes, literally everyone was there.”
The director continued at the time, “It was like living in the internet, and AI would crack if it tried to render it. Anyway congratulations Taylor and Travis! Wishing your beautiful family and future family endless happiness!”
