Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did everything they could to keep details of their star-studded wedding under wraps, and it seems they plan to do the same for their honeymoon. A source recently told Star that the newlyweds “don’t want anything getting leaked,” adding, “They want to be able to enjoy this special time with total privacy.”
Still, not everything has been kept secret. According to the insider, there have been “some whispers about them starting off at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito,” which happens to have a surprising connection to Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Conor Kennedy.
As it turns out, Conor’s great-uncle and aunt, John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy, honeymooned at the resort in 1953. “It’s ultra private and has so much history,” the source revealed.
If Swift and Kelce decide to honeymoon at the luxury property, “there’s the option to rent out the entire property,” the insider noted. Renting the ranch “can cost upwards of $500K for a week,” but with Swift’s billionaire status, privacy is easily attainable.
But before they can embark on their honeymoon, Swift and Kelce are set to attend the July 11 wedding of his former teammate, New York Giants wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and his fiancée, Laura Kurk.
“They’re having to work around that, but they don’t see that as any sort of hindrance,” the insider explained. “If anything, it’s the icing on the cake because this way they get to keep the romantic wedding vibes going without any of the pressure being on them.”
The source continued, “The assumption among [Taylor’s] friends is that after JuJu and Laura’s wedding, she and Travis will jet off somewhere international for a couple weeks, but at this point she’s refusing to confirm or deny anything. She just can’t risk anything getting out.”
The Sun previously reported that the “Lover” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end are planning a “once-in-a-lifetime experience” for their honeymoon, with a trip that will take them around the world. The two are said to be kicking things off in their “favorite spot”—the Bahamas—before heading to Europe, where they’ll explore Italy’s Lake Como, Paris, the French Riviera, and Croatia.
“They are particularly excited to explore the Croatian countryside to reconnect with Kelce’s ancestral roots,” a source told The Sun. “Taylor already loves that part of the world, having visited before, and Travis is excited to take her there as part of this journey.”
Swift and Kelce also intend to visit a private island in Greece, where they hope to embrace “a slower pace of life.” Later, the power couple will make stops in Singapore, Australia, and Fiji before wrapping up their honeymoon in Hawaii.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience where they can just be themselves, enjoy the time together before going back to work,” the insider added. “They are really looking forward to it.”
