Graham Norton reveals he almost removed a celebrity from guest lineup for Taylor Swift
During an interview with British GQ’s Ben Allen, Graham Norton revealed how he almost bumped a celebrity from the guest lineup of his talk show for Taylor Swift. He stated that the Grammy winner confirmed her presence shortly before airtime, prompting such a decision.
Norton explained, “The last time [she was on the show], she was a very last-minute booking. The show was fully booked. So we thought, ‘We’re going to have to bump somebody.’” However, the Lover singer requested that no celebrity should be removed. The talk show host recalled, “Word came back from Taylor: ‘No one must be bumped.’”
Swift had an amazing time on the show. She also ended up inviting her fellow celeb guests to star in the “Opalite” music video. Reflecting on this, Norton told Allen, “That was a good show to be on. because everyone ended up in the ‘Opalite’ music video. Everyone!”
Norton also attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish Madison Square Garden wedding on July 3. He joked with Allen that he almost said “no” for a hilarious reason. “The thing about Taylor’s wedding is, I think, the cool thing to do is not go and then tell people I went because I can’t tell anyone anything about it anyway,” he joked.
“You kind of have to say yes because you want the story, but then you can never tell the story. It’s sort of hell,” he added. So far, the newly married couple has not shared any photos from the wedding.
