The Spain World Cup champions met with King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofía after arriving back home in Madrid. The royal family payed tribute to the team’s talent, determination and historic achievement.
The team capped off the celebrations with a raucous open-top bus victory parade through Madrid, where nearly two million fans lined the streets to welcome the world champions home.
This comes after Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the final of the World Cup in New Jersey on Sunday night.
