Podcaster Adam22 was served in his and wife Lena the Plug’s ongoing and false divorce hoax.
Adam, 42, confirmed to TMZ on Thursday, July 23, that he recently received court documents, expressing his hopes that police can intervene. (Adam said he hasn’t heard back from local law enforcement or the FBI regarding his request.)
Us can confirm that new court documents were filed by an individual claiming to be Lena, 35, which noted a process server delivered papers to Adam’s home. Lena subsequently told Page Six that the docs were related to the fraudulent divorce case.
“The story is the same,” Lena said. “It’s the same case filing, but now Adam has been served in person.”
News broke last month that “Lena” filed for divorce from “Adam” after a decade together, asking for sole legal and physical custody of the couple’s daughter. Lena has since claimed that she’s the victim of identity theft, stressing that she hasn’t filed a petition to dissolve her marriage.
“Last month, I went to check my mail and I had all of this rejected paperwork from a courthouse. Somebody has been trying to file for divorce on my behalf,” she alleged in a social media video last month. “[Someone] has all this information and they attached a check for $435. I look at the name of the check and I start to freak out a little bit because I remember the name … The name of the check matches the name that police gave me when they arrived at my house two different times doing a wellness check [when] somebody called and claimed I was being abused by my husband.”
Lena shut down the abuse allegations, denying reports that she filed for divorce.
“I’m not divorcing at all,” she stated at the time. “I love my husband. We’ve been together for 10 years. I know that all of you are plotting on our downfall but it’s not happening. That day has not come. I found out I was getting divorced when you guys found out I was getting divorced. This is such a weird situation. Honestly, if it didn’t happen to me, I wouldn’t believe it.”
The next day, Lena exclusively told Us that her marriage is in a “wonderful place.”
“I think that, unfortunately, the story was very believable for people, because they’ve just been waiting for this to happen based on what they see about us online, and I don’t blame them, but yeah, everything’s good over here,” she theorized in early June. “I believe that this person is being catfished and duped by a third party who’s pretending to be me, but I’m being affected by their behaviors. I think that they are talking to somebody online who is pretending to be me and using my photos and everything to talk to them, and I think that they have convinced this person to keep sending them money, saying that they’re being abused and they need help out of their marriage, and it’s part of like this long ongoing story to get money out of this person.”
The OnlyFans star further told Us that she filed a police report for identity theft and has spoken to a lawyer about getting the fraudulent divorce filing dismissed.
