The nine-track album will mark NCT 127’s 10th anniversary ahead of its fifth world tour in September.
Boy band NCT 127 will release its seventh full-length album “Blingy” at 6 p.m. on Aug. 24, its agency SM Entertainment announced on Monday.
The album will contain nine tracks. Physical copies of “Blingy” will go on sale the day of its release, while preorders began on Monday.
The upcoming album “looks back on the group’s decade-long career and emphasizes the members’ pride in the band and their commitment to moving forward together,” the agency said.
NCT 127 debuted as the Seoul-based unit of NCT in July 2016 with the lead track “Fire Truck.” The group’s name comes from Seoul’s longitude: 127 degrees east.
The band became known for songs such as “Cherry Bomb” (2017), “Kick It” (2020) and “Sticker” (2021). Its third full-length album, “Sticker” (2021), debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and remained there for 17 consecutive weeks.
NCT 127 has completed four world tours and will kick off its fifth, “Neo City – The Redline,” with three concerts at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul from Sept. 18 to 20.
