Actress Meg Ryan will have far fewer sleepless nights after securing a buyer for her opulent Hamptons estate—just a few weeks after she listed the property for $15.25 million.
The listing for the picturesque dwelling, which sits on a lush 1.5-acre parcel in Bridgehampton, NY, has now been updated to reflect that it is “pending” sale, meaning that Ryan has accepted an offer from a buyer, although the specifics about that offer are not yet known.
Ryan, 64, who has become almost as well known for her high-end home renovations as her romantic-comedy roles, purchased the picturesque property for $13.5 million in 2024, which means she stands to earn a very tidy profit if she manages to secure a sale price close to her ask.
The actress—who is best known for her work in “Sleepless in Seattle,” “You’ve Got Mail,” and “When Harry Met Sally”—is no stranger to real estate investments, having recently sold a home in Montecito, CA, for $16.8 million, more than $6 million over the price she bought it for three years prior.
While it’s not yet known exactly what price she has agreed to let her Hamptons home go for, the listing—which is held by Evan R. Kulman of Compass—makes very clear the very “rare” features on offer at the dwelling.

The sprawling Santa Barbara area mansion was first put on the market for $19.5 million—exactly $10 million more than Ryan had bought it for just a few years earlier, although she had made some very significant updates to it during her ownership of the home.
Ryan purchased the California property for $9.5 million in 2021 via an LLC that she has used for several of her real estate deals over the years. At the time, the property featured 6,500 square feet in five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a guesthouse.
However, when she listed the home, it was made clear that the Hollywood heavyweight had made some very significant changes, adding two bedrooms, a half bathroom, 3,000 square feet of extra living space, three fireplaces, and a patio.
Ryan previously gushed about her love for renovation projects while speaking with Architectural Digest.
“I know it sounds crazy to most people, the idea of renovating that many houses, but I love renovating. I think it’s tied to living the actor’s life,” she said.
Her son, Jack, 34, whom she shares with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, often teases his mom about her home renovation process and has even branded her work “Meg-anized.”
She added, “As an actor, you are so rarely in control. You’re always saying words that someone else has given you, standing in a room that someone else has designed, to create a reality that someone else wants to see. But with decorating I am in control; it’s a chance for me to bring my vision into the world.”
