BENNINGTON — Is marriage still relevant in today’s world? Have traditional gender roles faded into obscurity? Do individual needs take precedence over those of others?
These thought-provoking questions form the heart of Bennington Theater’s latest production, “A Doll’s House Part 2.”
Set 15 years after the events of the original play, the story invites audiences to revisit Nora and Torvald and reconsider the nature of love itself.
Over the course of two gripping acts, the talented cast brings humor, introspection, and a healthy dose of challenge to our assumptions about marriage, divorce, and everything in between.
Shawn Paper and Stephanie Phelan deliver compelling performances as Torvald and Nora, while Hope Jasper portrays Anne Marie, the family’s steadfast nanny. Tess McHugh rounds out the ensemble as Emmy, the couple’s daughter.
The production will be staged this weekend and next, featuring evening shows at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, along with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
