We’re starting with the Queen of Christian music herself. CeCe Winans continues a career run that feels somehow stronger with every release. Not that she ever needed a comeback, but the depth and confidence in her recent work is remarkable for an artist with decades of classics behind her. “For Your Glory,” inspired by House of David from The Wonder Project is unmistakably CeCe.
Brandon Lake & Cody Johnson – “When a Cowboy Prays”
Brandon Lake has already declared 2026 his country era, and if this song is any indication, it makes sense. Familiar melodies, a comforting message, and a crossover that feels natural instead of forced. With lyrics that are still driven by faith, this one lands easy and lingers.
Point of Grace – “Stand”
Let’s call them what they are: the O.G.s… wait… the P.O.G.s of CCM. “Stand” feels like an instant church standard, anchored by those unmistakable voices. This song is full of warmth and confidence.
We The Kingdom – “Easy”
The title says it all. “Easy” is a gentle, ambient worship moment that fits perfectly into quiet mornings or background listening while you work. It also sets the tone nicely for their upcoming record Dear Jesus, out January 30.
Rock City Worship – “Refresh”
Time to turn the energy up. Rock City Worship brings a driving groove and a breakdown that, with just a bit more distortion, could lean straight into rock territory. It’s worship with momentum.
Homecoming – “Upside Down”
This one taps into that earlier worship movement energy, back when Crowder still had first name and worship rock wore a big smile. It’s uplifting without drowning in minor keys, joyful without feeling shallow. Bonus points to the drummer in the video who looks genuinely thrilled to be there.
Matthew West – “Good”
I’ll always be a fan of a singer with a guitar. “Good” builds nicely, but at its heart, it’s an acoustic-driven song that lets the simplicity shine. A touch of Americana roots influence doesn’t hurt either.
Elevation Rhythm – “Thank God I’m Free (Live)”
We know it. We love it. And this live version brings the energy to close out the playlist on a high note. A joyful, hands-in-the-air kind of ending.
