A high-profile romance fades quietly as two stars split after nearly 3 years

NEW YORK CITY, New York — A relationship that began on a blockbuster film set has quietly come to an end, as one of pop music’s biggest names and a rising Broadway star have decided to part ways.

Singer and actress Ariana Grande and actor Ethan Slater have separated after nearly three years together. The two were first linked while working on the film adaptation of “Wicked” and had been together since 2023.

The breakup is believed to have occurred several months ago, though it was not publicly disclosed at the time. Reports said that the split was mutual, with both sides maintaining respect for one another as they move forward independently.
