Two Rhode Island chefs will be competing before Gordon Ramsay when “Hell’s Kitchen” premieres with its 24th season on Sept. 25 on Fox.
The theme “Battle of the States” means one contestant from each of the U.S. states will be competing for the $250,000 prize.
Executive chef Cara Mourning of Blu Violet Rooftop Bar at Aloft Providence Downtown will compete for Rhode Island.
Though he is now at the Little Clam at the Wayfinder in Newport as executive chef, Antonio Wormley competed for New Hampshire. At the time of filming, he was the chef at Pavilion Wolfeboro. He is a Johnson & Wales University graduate.
Little Clam at the Wayfinder will be celebrating executive chef Antonio Wormley as he stars as a contestant on Season 24 of “Hell’s Kitchen” which premieres on Fox on Sept. 25.
Mourning is no stranger to cooking on reality TV. In 2023, she was in a cooking competition on Food Network named “Beachside Brawl.” She was the chef at Bluewater Bar & Grill in Barrington at the time.
Before that, she competed on “Chopped” (in 2018) and “Beat Bobby Flay” (in 2021) on Food Network. She didn’t make it far on any of the three shows, but said they were great experiences back in 2023.

Due to non-disclosure agreements, neither chef has been permitted to speak about their experiences yet. The episodes of “Hell’s Kitchen” were filmed at custom-built studios at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
For the first time ever, the season’s premiere episode will see Ramsay cut the 50 semi-finalists to the top 20 who compete in the rest of the season.
The winner will win a head chef position at Foxwoods Resort Casino and the $250,000 prize.
