BENNINGTON — The Ukulele String Ensemble and the Woodwind Trio are presenting “A Ukulele Christmas” at Sacred Heart-St. Francis de Sales Parish Center on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. The performance will benefit the Sacred Heart food shelf as well as the St. John the Baptist Food Shelf.
According to organizers, the event provides an opportunity to relax away from hectic holiday preparations and sing along with the ensemble and trio as they perform traditional Christmas carols and songs, including Victorian, Old English, and Celtic melodies. While there is no charge for the concert, donations to benefit the food shelves are encouraged. Desserts and hot chocolate will also be served.
