Aaron Goldenberg is loving the skin he’s in.
The handsome comedian and actor has built an impressive following online for his hilarious skits. With over 1 million followers on TikTok, Goldenberg’s résumé keeps on growing with more exciting TV and movie projects.
In the new queer short film In Between, the star portrays a lovable character, Wes, who serves as a hilarious support system for his friend group. As part of a duo with transgender actress Nicole Sky, the besties bring unapologetic gay humor to a film that tackles heavy topics in the LGBTQ+ community.
“I am so excited to be part of this. It struck me right away as a queer story we don’t always see on screen. The film is definitely grounded in issues of body image, insecurities, and how we bring that into relationships. In the gay community, we have a standard that you must look like a pornstar or you’re not really trying. Not everybody wants to be on steroids, Janet,” Goldenberg tells Out.
Besides the relatable dynamics in the film, Goldenberg loves that Wes has a sense of confidence that isn’t always represented on screen. Plus, the combination of Wes alongside Sky’s character, Monica, brings a level of adult comedy that gay audiences will love.
“We decided that our characters were just platonically horny for each other. They’re so inappropriate. It really explores a lot of interesting themes. I’m somebody who fluctuates in muscle tone and weight, so I decided a few years ago to do what my body needs at the moment. Sometimes my body needs rest or joy through food!”
Fans can expect to see Goldenberg showing quite a bit of skin in the new movie, which has inspired him to wear more provocative outfits in his real life. When he’s not busy filming an exciting project on set, the star is wearing more Speedos as he hits the beach this summer.
“I’m in fuck it phase right now! I’ve been posting more thirst traps wearing a thong at the pool. These are things I’ve been scared to post out of fear of judgement or the algorithm doing something weird. I was worried that it would come back and hurt my career. That was drilled into my generation of actors. I’ve lost thousands of followers, but I’m so tired of caring about that!”
