SHREWSBURY — Actor Mark Wahlberg made his way to Brody’s Diner and Flynn’s Truck Stop for the filming of his next flick, “Weekend Warriors.”
The Boston-raised actor was spotted at the Route 20 businesses the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 8.
He is slated to film a few scenes at the neighboring businesses. Production crews have received the OK from Shrewsbury officials to close the road for a time.

The scene will include a traffic jam.
Wahlberg has filmed in Central Massachusetts before. Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, John Lithgow, Mel Gibson and John Cena filmed scenes from “Daddy’s Home 2” in May 2017 at the old Old Timer Restaurant in Clinton.
