VertiCast, the Los Angeles-based online casting support platform designed specifically for the vertical entertainment industry, is now officially live on the Apple App Store.
Co-founded by Darren Darnborough and Richard Cambridge, the platform was created to help producers and casting directors streamline talent discovery for vertical storytelling and micro-dramas.

VertiCast aims to simplify the process of connecting producers and casting teams with talent with just a “swipe,” helping address the demand and accelerated production timelines shaping today’s mobile-first entertainment landscape.
“As vertical content continues to grow globally, we saw a need for a faster and more accessible way for producers and casting teams to discover talent,” said Darnborough, adding that the platform is not intended to replace traditional casting services.
“We built VertiCast as a complementary support tool specifically designed for the unique speed and workflow of vertical productions,” he said.
The launch arrives as micro-dramas, creator-led storytelling, and vertical series continue reshaping the entertainment industry, creating new opportunities for actors navigating a rapidly evolving market.
Rather than relying solely on traditional submission funnels, VertiCast empowers producers and casting directors to proactively discover talent in a more efficient and streamlined way.
By focusing specifically on the needs of the vertical entertainment industry, VertiCast aims to modernize casting workflows while helping producers, casting professionals, and talent adapt to the increasing speed and scale of digital content production.
“The platform is designed to help simplify casting for vertical content creators and producers while creating additional visibility and opportunities for actors working in this growing space,” added Cambridge.
The VertiCast app is now available for download exclusively on the Apple App Store.
