EXCLUSIVE: Producer and actress Marie Stark (Games People Play) has officially launched her production company, Stark Contrast Entertainment, and set its first project.
White Coat will follow Dr Maya Sloane, a driven physician who returns to her hometown in Missouri, where she must confront unresolved relationships, navigate family expectations and balance the emotional demands of her profession.

Stark, who wrote and created the show, will executive produce and plans to star as Sloane. A search for a series writer is underway.
The L.A.-based Stark Contrast has been quietly operating for a period, and is now launching with a mission create “character-driven stories that resonate with diverse audiences.”
“As an artist, I am always passionate about creating compelling characters and stories,” said Stark. “Stark Contrast Entertainment allows me to bring those ideas to life and collaborate with exceptional talent in the process. I am excited to be both in front of and behind the camera.
“Our goal at Stark Contrast Entertainment is to continue to broaden the landscape of storytelling and embrace audiences around the world.”

Stark’s on-screen credits include Games People Play, The Bobby Brown Story and The New Edition Story. She has also built out an off-screen career as a producer and writer.
