According to insider reports, Oscar-nominated actor Stellan Skarsgård has said no to the role of Christopher Dent in Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II. Reeves is about to finalize the casting of the movie ahead of the production kickoff in about six weeks.
Harvey Dent’s father character is proving to be a major headache in the casting department after reports suggested that Brad Pitt also turned down the role (via Fortress of Solitude). During his appearance on John Rocha’s The Hot Mic podcast, insider Jeff Sneider claimed that Skarsgård was not interested in playing the controversial character.
Fans have a pretty good idea why these actors would refuse the role in the movie.
