Golden retriever delivers Chick-fil-A to her owner

America’s next canine superstar could be living right next door, or even under your roof.
A nationwide search is on to find a talented golden retriever to inherit the famous role of the original Air Bud, or “Buddy,” for the franchises’ final movie in 2026, “Air Bud Returns”.
The series first began in 1997 and has since produced 14 movies, its latest in 2003 with “Air Bud Spikes Back”.
In an Aug. 8 video on Air Bud Entertainment’s website and social media, creator and producer of the series Robert Vince explains their ongoing search.
“Today we have big news. For the first time ever, we’re opening up the auditions for the next Air Bud,” Vince said. “This is your chance to be a part of the Air Bud legacy.”

Owners are encouraged to send in a photo or a 60- to 90-second video of their purebred golden retriever through a form on their website with these specifications.
- Keep it short and sweet: 60 to 90 seconds.
- Show them doing basic commands: sit, stay, come.
- Include their age.
- Show off their skills − running, jumping, playing tricks…
- If they’ve got game, show us those basketball moves!
