Al Pacino is ringing in his 86th birthday in style.
The legendary actor, known for iconic roles in The Godfather, Dog Day Afternoon, Carlito’s Way and Scent of a Woman, marked the milestone with a lively party that blended nostalgia, family and a little bit of showmanship.
In a video shared to Instagram by CinemaChico on Monday, April 27, the Oscar winner — whose actual birthday was on April 25 — could be seen holding a microphone and dancing as music played. The clip also showed him blowing out candles on a large sheet cake decorated with a childhood photo.

The Hollywood legend recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of his 36-year-old daughter Julie’s new movie, I Live Here Now. The film, which marks Julie’s directorial debut, screened at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, Calif., on Thursday, Mar. 12.
In a series of rare red carpet photos, Pacino could be seen posing with Julie and his twins, Anton and Olivia, 25. In one photo, all four held up peace signs as they smiled for the camera together.
Pacino shares Julie with ex-girlfriend Jan Tarrant and Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo. The actor is also dad to son Roman, 2, with ex Noor Alfallah.
In October 2024, Pacino spoke about becoming a father again at 83, saying that entering back into parenthood has been “extraordinary” and adding that he’s found a few things that the two can do together.
“He does text me from time to time,” Pacino said of Roman.
The actor added: “You know, I have this little person. Everything he does is interesting to me. So we talk. I play the harmonica with him and we have made this kind of contact. So it’s fun.”
