This June, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Sony Interactive Entertainment are teaming up to bring the upcoming State of Play broadcast into theaters for the first time. On June 2 at 2pm PT/4pm CT/5pm ET, select Alamo Drafthouse locations nationwide will host a live screening event featuring the latest PlayStation news and new game reveals in real time alongside streaming audiences worldwide.

State of Play is Sony Interactive Entertainment’s signature broadcast presentation showcasing upcoming titles, new trailers, and updates from top studios around the world. This special theatrical presentation transforms the digital premiere into a shared cinema experience, complete with a themed menu of bites and drinks and other surprises.
The event is part of an ongoing partnership between Alamo Drafthouse and Sony Interactive Entertainment, which has previously included the exclusive “Ghost of Yōtei” Popcorn Bucket, and the “Way of the Samurai” screening series with themed menu.
Admission to the Sony State of Play Fan Event is free with the purchase of a fully refundable food and non-alcoholic beverage voucher, redeemable during the event. Reservations go live at 8 a.m. CT on May 20. Guests can reserve a spot at drafthouse.com.
