Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria took inspiration from Dirty Dancing for what appears to be their latest audition to Dancing with the Stars.
Dancing with the Stars is days away from announcing which Hollywood stars will be competing for their 34th Mirrorball Trophy.
Amongst the cast rumors, Hilaria’s name has been dropped. Instead of putting the speculations to bed, she has instead chosen to fuel them with unusual dance clips starring the Beetlejuice actor. In her latest move, she has recreated an iconic dancing scene from the 1987 romance movie.
At the end of the infamous film, the leads, Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze perform their last dance to Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes’ The Time of My Life. Mimicking the choreography on Instagram, Hilaria stood in front of Alex as he grazed the side of her arm before spinning her outwards and doing a quick salsa step.
She captioned the video, “Teacher is working on my dirty dancing today…last part needs some work.”
When one fan reacted, saying, “Girl can dance!! Getting ready for DWTS?” Hilaria had responded by not only liking the comment but also replying with a follow up dancing video.
While the hit reality competition isn’t set to return until Sept. 16, the full cast will be announced a little earlier on the Sept. 3 episode of Good Morning America.
As of right now, there are only four contestants who have been confirmed for the new season: Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck and Witney Leavitt.
The last person to win the Mirrorball Trophy was The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson.
Season 33 left big shoes to fill as it attracted the highest total viewership in over three years, with 7.95 million viewers watching the finale.
