All About Sabrina Carpenter’s Glowy Makeup at the MTV VMAs 2025

On the heels of her latest album release, Sabrina Carpenter arrived on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Sunday night with bronzy makeup and a blowout. The 26-year-old pop star, who released the 12-track project titled “Man’s Best Friend” on Aug. 29, seemed to toe the line of her trademark aesthetic, sticking with bushy eyebrows and heavy blush.

However, the “Tears” singer experimented with new style techniques, too. Rather than smudging black shadow under her eyes, Carpenter drew a precise line in her waterline and added a baby wing on the outer corners of her lids. The fresh approach appeared to thin the shape of her eyes and lift her entire visage. Meanwhile, bronzer melted below her cheekbones and a pink rosewood shade dressed her lips.

Instead of the tight coils Carpenter often wore during the “Short n’ Sweet” tour, her blond hair was parted on the side and styled in loose curls, which fell in front and behind her shoulders. Her bangs were brushed away from her eyes, too, leaving the middle of her forehead completely naked. The vocalist also veered from her usual nail aesthetic (short and pale pink) with long, almond-shaped French tips, designed by manicurist Zola Ganzorigt.

Carpenter’s hair was designed by her longtime collaborator, hairstylist Evanie Frausto, who also works with celebrities such as Jenna Ortega and Margaret Qualley. For her makeup, the Grammy winner tapped artist Carolina Gonzalez, who also partnered with her to create the makeup looks for “Man’s Best Friend.”

The “Juno” singer’s attendance on Sunday night comes a year after her viral performance at the 2024 awards show, during which she sang two of her biggest hits, “Espresso” and “Taste.” Other music artists spotted on the VMAs red carpet included Lenny Kravitz, FKA Twigs, Ariana Grande and Tyla.
