Leave it to Demna’s Gucci to make Times Square cool. The Cruise 2027 season is officially underway, and last night, the Italian house shut down New York City’s favorite tourist site, making the most of the landmark’s city-that-never-sleeps energy (and massive billboard screens).
While the models were dressed in feather gowns and leather biker jackets, rather than the typical Mickey Mouse, Elmo, or Spider-Man costumes the metropolis sees on its day to day, the show captured the authentic hustle and bustle of the city. In addition to casting models from all different industries (we’re looking at you, Tom Brady), the “Guccicore” presentation paired looks with everyday items you’d see on the streets of Manhattan (iPhones in hand, yoga mats in totes), and offered a range of styles reflective of the quintessential New Yorker’s always-on-the-go, office-to-drinks-to-dinner-to-party schedule.
“To do something that felt real to New York, I wanted to show this collection on the kind of people you might pass on the street,” Demna explained in his show notes. “Individuals with their own way of wearing clothes, a plurality of styles that intersect like the streets of the city.”
In addition to Brady, Paris Hilton, Cindy Crawford, and Alex Consani walked the runway. And the front row was just as stacked. Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, Molly Gordon, and more stopped for photos before finding their seats. Kim Kardashian snuck in to join them, and later, Crawford’s daughter, Kaia Gerber, showed up to celebrate at the after party.
Ahead, see all the stars who sat front row at the Gucci Cruise 2027 show.
