The search for TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother has entered its second week.
Nancy Guthrie is believed to have been abducted from her sprawling Tucson, Arizona, home on February 1 and has not been seen or heard from since. Savannah’s friends and family have rallied behind her as investigators work around the clock to bring Nancy home, including her husband of over a decade, Michael Feldman.
Earlier this week, the 57-year-old shared footage from Nancy’s doorbell camera of a possible suspect on Instagram with the caption, “Someone out there may recognize this person. Please help us. Bring her home.”
Savannah and Michael met at his 40th birthday party in 2008, a year before the television personality divorced her first husband, Mark Orchard. They started dating shortly after and became engaged in 2013.
Savannah and Michael tied the knot in March 2013 in Tucson, and share two children, a daughter, Vale, born in 2014, and a son, Charley, born in 2016. The couple reportedly celebrates both Jewish and Christian holidays as Michael is Jewish and Savannah is Christian.
Prior to meeting Savannah, Michael graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1990, served as a liaison to the Clinton-Gore White House and the U.S. Congress, and was a senior advisor to Vice President Al Gore from 1993 to 2001.
In 2001, he founded his own communications consulting firm, Glover Park Group, and serves as the co-chair of the North America chapter of the international public relations firm FGS Global in Washington, D.C. He previously consulted for Johnny Depp’s legal team during the actor’s 2022 defamation trial.
Michael’s mother-in-law was last seen on January 31 and is believed to have been abducted on or around February 1.
Since her disappearance, there have been at least 2 reported ransom demands, including one for $6 million and one that promised to exchange information for a Bitcoin, worth over $30,000.
Savannah and her family have stated they are willing to pay any amount for credible information about Nancy’s whereabouts. As a couple, Michael and Savannah are worth over $40 million, with the 55-year-old bringing in an $8 million salary from her TODAY gig.
The public relations professional has stood by his wife and her family as they navigate this harrowing ordeal, as the search for Nancy enters its second week.
