South-central Pennsylvania residents had the chance to sing the night away in honor of America’s 250 anniversary.
Folks showed up to Hersheypark Stadium Saturday night for the latest stop of America250PA’s Commonwealth Concert Series.
The Avett Brothers featuring Mike Patton and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts headlined the concert, with Cumberland County native Chloe Flower opening the show.
Flower talked about her connection to music and how it brings everyone together.

“Music has the ability to really overcome so many cultural obstacles and barriers,” she said. “I think, with so much division happening in the U.S. right now, having a concert like this unites us and brings us together.”
Flower added that performing in front of a hometown crowd was a full-circle moment for her.
The Commonwealth Concert Series continues with Lady A and special guest En Vogue, with a special appearance by Carson Kressley, in Wilkes-Barre on June 20, and with Nelly, Third Eye Blind and special guest Frzy in Pittsburgh on June 27.
