The cause of death for American Idol icon producer Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, has now been revealed, over a month after an intruder shot them to death at their home.

Death certificates obtained by People reveal that the couple both passed as a result of multiple gunshot wounds they sustained on July 10 at around 4:45PM.

The death certificates have given a deeper insight into their tragic passings, with the documents revealing that Deluca passed within seconds of being shot, while Kaye died minutes after she was shot.

The couple both have homicide stated as their manner of death.

Their date of death has been recorded as July 14 at 4:14PM, despite the couple succumbing to their injuries days earlier. The date and time were when officers found the couple deceased.

People also reported that Kaye and Deluca, both 70 at the time of their deaths, had autopsies conducted on them, and the procedures were used in ascertaining their cause of death.

The outlet said that a death certificate for Kaye, which had been issued on July 23, initially said she did not have an autopsy done on her. However, an amendment subsequently filed on August 4 corrected that specific note.

Kaye and Deluca were cremated on July 23.

The couple was shot execution-style in the head in their $4.5 4.5million home on July 10.

The person behind the gun was a callous intruder who used the victims’ own weapon that they had for self-defense.

Despite a 4pm call by a neighbor to 911 to report an intruder at the property on the same day, their bodies were not discovered at the gated mansion on White Oak Avenue until four days later, on July 14, after frantic family members requested a welfare check.

Suspect Raymond Boodarian, 22, was arrested by lawmen, with weapons drawn, the following day at the nearby rented Reseda townhome he shared with his mother and sister.

Boodarian has a history of mental illness, court records show. He has been charged with two counts of murder as well as other offenses in relation to the deaths.

According to People, authorities previously said, “The victims returned home while the suspect had gained entry into the residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives.

“The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot.”
