Katseye just got their first-ever AMA!
The HYBE girl group won the New Artist of the Year trophy at the American Music Awards 2026, held in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Philippine time). They were up against Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and Sombr.
In her speech, Filipina member Sophia Laforteza thanked HYBE Labels chairman Bang Si Hyuk and the HYBE-Geffen team, who was behind their group’s formation.
She also gave a special shoutout to labelmate BTS, who graced the awards ceremony, “for inspiring us to represent our culture on a global scale.”
“Maraming, maraming salamat,” Sophia said.
Katseye debuted in 2024 under HYBE Labels.
Among their hits include “Gnarly,” “Gabriela,” and “Touch.”
