After King Charles III swiftly moved Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from Royal Lodge to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk as more information emerged about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, local residents voiced their concerns. “If he needs to come, he needs to come, but I think there’s better places he could have actually gone,” one woman told Daily Express.

A second anonymous woman told the publication she’s “not enamored” with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor living in the area. “They [the royals] are dumping their royal rubbish on us,” she said.

A third person pointed out that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new living situation is anything but a punishment. “Really, he’s going back to luxury, isn’t he? He’s being waited on hand and foot. I’m not happy he’s this way. As long as we don’t see him. He will be hidden away somewhere. He will have all the things he needs. He’s still living in a certain amount of luxury,” they said.

A local man named Abraham Bruin added, “I’m a little bit flabbergasted myself. If he’s an outcast and living on the estate, he’s not an outcast, is he?”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his titles and evicted from Royal Lodge over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Amid the move, staffers at Sandringham aren’t excited to serve the former Duke of York. “They’ve been told they don’t have to serve Andrew or work for him if they feel uncomfortable,” an insider told The Sun. “There is already quite a list saying no thanks.
