Actor Aneet Padda experienced a significant surge in popularity following the success of ‘Saiyaara’. She recently opened up about how the wave of attention often makes her emotional. The 23-year-old is currently preparing for her upcoming role in ‘Shakti Shalini’.
In a recent interview with Grazia India, Aneet said, “I’m very sensitive. I feel things deeply. So, the responsibility of love, that weight of wanting to do right by the people who support you, that can feel pressurising. It’s beautiful, but sometimes, it is a lot.”
“I cry once a week, looking at the edits my fans make. The effort, the love, I just hope I can do justice to it,” she added.
Aneet’s rise began with early work as a model and roles in several advertising campaigns during her teens. She took her first acting steps in Kajol’s ‘Salaam Venky’ in 2022. She later appeared in the 2024 Amazon Prime series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’.
Her career took a decisive turn in 2025 with her role in Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’. Produced by YRF, the film went on to become the highest-grossing romantic movie in Indian cinema. It earned over Rs 580 crore worldwide.
Aneet’s portrayal of a young songwriter dealing with early-onset Alzheimer’s earned her widespread recognition and established her as an overnight star. The role also led to the rapid growth of her online fan base, with numerous edits, reels, and fan pages dedicated to her performances and her chemistry with co-star Ahaan Panday.
Despite her appreciation for the attention, Aneet has now acknowledged the emotional toll and pressure to meet fans’ expectations. She described this period as overwhelming and explained that the love and dedication from supporters now play a significant role in her life as she prepares for her next project.
Aneet is currently working on ‘Shakti Shalini’, which is a horror comedy produced by Maddock Films.
