Angelina Jolie Reportedly Eyes Overseas Move, Hopes to ‘Find a New Partner’ Beyond Hollywood

While Angelina Jolie remains a gorgeous diva and a Hollywood heartthrob even after hitting her 50s, the actress had largely steered clear of the dating game.

Now, however, ahead of her 51st birthday, the Oscar winner is making headlines for her reported decision to find love again, years after her messy divorce from Brad Pitt.

According to insiders, now that her youngest children — twins Knox and Vivienne — are about to turn 18, Jolie is considering major life changes.

While the actress dedicated several years of her life to raising her six children and focusing on work, she’s now allegedly preparing to re-enter the dating scene.

‘The Move Overseas Is Being Carefully Planned’

According to a source who spoke to RadarOnline, Jolie is reportedly considering moving overseas as she looks toward her future beyond motherhood.

“Angelina’s devotion to her kids is no act – she has been a hands-on mom for decades now,” the source said.

However, with her children becoming adults, the actress is now thinking about what comes next in her life.

Reports suggest she’s planning to move abroad and find love again.

“The move overseas is being carefully planned to finally give Angelina some time to herself to figure out what the next part of her life is going to be,” the insider stated.

“Time alone is going to be important, but of course, she’d also like to find a new partner to share the next chapter in her life, preferably someone who’s not an actor,” the insider added.

Although Jolie has not yet decided where she wants to live, sources claim the actress hopes spending time away from Hollywood will give her space to focus on herself and explore new opportunities.

In addition, she’s also hoping to find a partner outside the entertainment industry.

After previously being in relationships with fellow actors, including Brad Pitt, Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie is looking for something different this time around.

“She’s had these very intense relationships with other actors for most of her adult life, and she has misgivings about doing that again,” the source revealed.

Romance Brewing Between Angelina Jolie and Louis Garrel?

This comes after she recently sparked dating rumors involving French actor and filmmaker Louis Garrel.

After sharing screen space with Garrel in the 2025 French movie, Couture (set to release in the U.S. on June 26, 2026), the duo sparked gossip about a budding romance.

Written and directed by Alice Winocour, Jolie shot the movie in Europe, playing the role of a woman working in fashion who receives a terrifying medical diagnosis amid her divorce.

Following the release of the film, the 50-year-old Oscar winner and Garrel were spotted having dinner together.

Later, although TMZ debunked speculations regarding their romance by revealing that Garrel has been married to Laetitia Casta since 2017, recent reports hint otherwise.

Previously, sources confided in the media outlet that Jolie and Garrel have “only broken bread as friends, and that’s where their relationship stands.”

They also noted that the two “are good friends who have friends in common,” and Jolie “remains single and she’s only focused on her kids and her work.”

However, later in 2025, it was reported that Garrel and Casta had called it quits, followed by an insider’s recent revelation about Jolie enjoying her time in Europe.

RadarOnline reported, “Angelina absolutely loved her recent filming experiences in Europe because she’s treated with respect and dignity that is in short supply in L.A.”

Further, sources also reflected on Jolie’s “high standards,” asserting that they “are not going to change and she wants to be with somebody of similar means and resources.”

A source added, “If she has to wait to find a partner who can fit in with her lifestyle, she’s willing to wait.”

This seems to hint at a possible chemistry between Jolie and Garrel.

Although nothing has been confirmed so far, fans seem excited about the actress’ future.
