Movie actress Angelina Jolie is hard at work on her next project, but she made sure to keep her children close, connecting with son Maddox and daughter Zahara in a sweet on-set moment.
Jolie is currently filming a new adaptation of the novel Anxious People by Fredrik Backman, and in new set photos, the mother of six took a break from filming to make a video call to her daughter, while her son Maddox stood nearby, supporting Jolie in person.
In one photo shared by Just Jared, Jolie smiled while looking at her phone screen, with Zahara smiling back. Jolie shifted the angle of the camera to show off the set around her, with her co-stars Carol Kane and Lennie James by her side.
Meanwhile, to Jolie’s left, Maddox stood wearing a beanie and a Black Flag band sweatshirt, a soft smile on his face as he watched his mother and sister interact. In another photo, Jolie moved the camera to show Zahara two other people working on the film with her.

Jolie Stars in Anxious People as the Character Zara
Jolie looked elegant, dressed in her character’s costume, with a sleek bob and a chic cream-colored ensemble. She plays the character Zara, a well-off woman who runs a bank, who ends up caught in a hostage situation with a group of random people during an apartment viewing.
Along with Jolie, Kane, and James, the movie also stars Aimee Lou Wood, Jason Segel, Joanna Scanlan and Jessica Gunning, among others. Producer Renée Wolfe described the project when it was announced earlier this year, saying, “Anxious People is a uniquely warm and heartfelt story that speaks to our chaotic times by asking us to step outside of our own stories and slow down enough to actually see one another.”
As of writing, there is no official release date yet. The film was first announced during the Cannes Film Festival in May, and it is currently in production.

Jolie’s Children Are Carving Their Own Paths
So far, none of Jolie’s children have committed to following her into acting, but a few have already started exploring related fields, such as Shiloh with dancing and Vivienne with theater production. Vivienne even worked as her mother’s assistant on the Broadway musical The Outsiders, for which Jolie was a lead producer.

As for Maddox, the 24-year-old appears to also be pursuing a career in production, working as a production assistant and assistant director on a couple of his mother’s projects. While it’s not confirmed, it’s possible that he’s taking on a similar role with Anxious People.
Currently, Zahara is in school at Spelman College, while Jolie’s son Pax has worked on a couple of her films like Maddox. But it’s unclear what exactly he intends to do for his career. Jolie’s other son, Knox, has kept his plans private as well.
