Anne Hathaway’s latest film, The Devil Wears Prada 2, debuted in movie theaters on May 1, 2026.
The actress revealed her next movie gig by posting the official trailer for Verity.
Based on the 2018 novel by Colleen Hoover, Verity will hit theaters on October 2, 2026.
Anne Hathaway might be starring in The Devil Wears Prada 2, but her year at the box office isn’t over just yet.
Throughout 2026, fans have seen the actress appear in movies across genres. Mother Mary debuted on April 17, and The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits movie theaters on May 1. And on April 27, Anne shared an Instagram trailer for her new movie, Verity, based on the 2018 novel by Colleen Hoover. That will premiere on October 2.
“There is no light where we’re going,” the caption read. “VERITY — only in theaters October 2.”
Seeing the trailer for Verity had fans screaming in the comments.
“GOD, THIS YEAR IS ONLY FOR ANNEEE,” one person wrote. “Anne Hathaway is perfect in the role of Verity!!!” another exclaimed. “Literally can’t wait for this 😍😍😍🔥,” a different follower added.
Verity follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh as she accepts a gig working for famed author Verity Crawford. The thing is, Verity has been left incapacitated from a mysterious accident—and as Lowen delves deeper into her research, she uncovers some chilling revelations about the woman she works for.
Anne will portray the titular character. Dakota Johnson will star alongside her as Lowen, and Josh Hartnett will portray Verity’s husband, Jeremy Crawford.
