Well, it’s starting in Las Vegas, but Apple Music’s ‘Club Live’ will be broadcasting from dancefloors and festivals around the world in the coming months too.
It’s a new series for the service’s Apple Music Club radio station, kicking off today (15 May) with a livestream from the EDC Las Vegas festival, with rebroadcasts of sets over the next few days.
The livestream will be simulcast on Insomniac Radio, the official service from the festival’s organiser, while EDC Las Vegas’s curator page on Apple Music will be hosting some archived sets from the event too.
“Teaming up with iconic festivals like EDC allows us to connect fans with the energy and culture of dance music at its source,” said Apple Music’s global head of dance, electronic music and DJ mixes Stephen Campbell.
As with its Lady Gaga partnership this week, there’s a freemium aspect to all this. The live broadcasts are free to listen to on Apple Music Club, with the on-demand side requiring a streaming subscription.
