Ascendant R&B star Joe Leone continues to make waves following the release of his debut album, Invited. Today, he unveils the official music video for the title track of the same name, encapsulating a day filled with fun, community, and good vibes. Watch HERE.
A fan-favorite from his recent project, “Invited” is a feel-good cut that showcases Leone’s signature R&B flair. The smooth track takes listeners on a sonic journey as he weaves a tale of warmth and hospitality. In the video, Leone relaxes at a cookout surrounded by friends, family, and of course, his leading lady. Featuring a cameo from Eric Benét – and directed by @nobody else – “Invited” is Leone’s soulful stamp of approval at the cookout, a playful nod that this white boy’s rhythm and soul have secured him a permanent seat at the table.
The album, Invited, follows a landmark year for Leone, filled with groundbreaking music and stellar performances – the latter of which culminated in him touring alongside GRAMMY-nominated artists October London, Tamar Braxton, and Ro James on the ‘October Nights: Calling All Lovers’ tour.
Adding to the excitement, Joe Leone’s leading single off his debut album ‘Over Under’ has now spent five consecutive weeks on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, reaching a new peak at #21 this past week. Leone also notched a #1 single on the same chart as co-writer of J. Brown’s hit “True Love.” Together, these milestones consummate his rise in R&B, adding an exclamation point to his catalog while underscoring his ongoing creative growth.

ABOUT JOE LEONE
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Joe Leone grew up surrounded by music. With a church-trained voice, and his father a pastor, the values of spirituality and faith were instilled in him at an early age; which continue to shape his identity and artistic expression. The self-taught multi-instrumentalist learned how to hone his craft in college, performing original compositions on the local Hollywood scene. Cultivating a sound that stands out in R&B/Soul, Joe’s work ethic has seen him quickly win over audiences and build relationships in all the right places. He’s been in the studio with R&B and Hip-hop greats such as DJ Camper, Ali Shaheed Mohammed (from A Tribe Called Quest), Sauce, Felly The Voice, Carvin Haggins, Mike City, and Gorden Campbell, among others. In October 2024, Joe released his double single, “Over Under / Save Face,” which graced editorial playlists across Apple Music (Brown Sugar, Grown N Sexy & Love Letters), Pandora (Rhythm & Brew Station, Blueprint: Adult R&B Station & Future Soul Station), and Spotify (Fresh Finds R&B). After making a name for himself, Joe took his career to the next level and signed with JBR Creative Group – the brainchild of 4X Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Eric Benét and veteran Entertainment Executive Alison Ball. Not even a year after signing, Joe embarked on the ‘October Nights: Calling All Lovers’ tour with R&B stars October London, Tamar Braxton, and Ro James. He parlayed that momentum into his first single of 2025 entitled “Discipline – written and produced in collaboration with DJ Camper and Felly The Voice. That same month, Joe released “Where Have You Been,” which was hailed by Rated R&B as a “soulful track, livened by warm guitar, airy percussion, and a head-nodding bassline.” Recent single “God’s Favorite” heralds the arrival of Joe’s long-awaited debut album, Invited, set to release August 15, 2025, featuring a guest verse from Grammy Award-winning hitmaker Ne-Yo. In other exciting news, Joe Leone also co-wrote the chart-topping “True Love” by J.Brown, which reached No.1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart. With no signs of slowing down, the budding R&B star promises an exciting future.
