Of course, fans raised eyebrows at the moment because it’s been a minute since Ari has mentioned her ex, whom she briefly dated from 2015 to 2016. That’s not all. According to sneaky snaps posted by fan account @infoari, Ariana was spotted sharing a meal with Ricky at De Nada Cantina in Austin the day after she pulled her stunt on stage.
It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time Ari’s switched up the lyrics to her number one hit, either. During her performance at the 2020 Grammys, she swapped the bridge to reflect a reconciliation with her dad, Ed Butera, singing, “I’ll be thanking my dad, ’cause he’s really awesome,” instead of “I’ll be thanking my dad / ’Cause she grew from the drama.”
