Consensual Improv, March 20

Roaring Fork Valley’s one-and-only improv comedy troupe is back. Consensual Improv will be hosting an upcoming show at 8 p.m. March 20 at The Arts Campus at Willits. Since 2016, they have been hitting stages for nights of improv with big laughs and audience suggestions. Tickets are available at tacaw.org.

Pen Pals, March 20-21

A new play by Michael Griffo, “Pen Pals,” starring Kate Burton and Patricia Kalember will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. March 20 and 4:30 p.m. March 21 at Paepcke Auditorium. The story follows the extraordinary bond between two women who have been writing to each other for decades, but have never met. The play explores how friendship grows across time and distance. Forre Fine Art marks International Women’s Month with a four-week series honoring women’s creativity across media, disciplines and continents. Each Sunday, a featured artist is sharing her work, and for week three Multimedia Artist and Social Activist Paula Crown will merge visual art with social and environmental advocacy. Her work spans sculpture, video, painting and public art. She advocates for protecting the environment and strengthening communities. Crown will speak 5:15-6:30 p.m Sunday, March 22, at the gallery, followed by a Q&A. Seating is limited. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 5 p.m. To RSVP, email [email protected].

The Wheeler Changemaker Series welcomes American Sports Photographer Jean Fruth with “Inside America’s Favorite Pastime,” 6:30 p.m. March 24 at 320 E. Hyman Ave. The acclaimed photographer will share stories of her work covering Major League Baseball and the United States women’s national ice hockey team at the 2026 Winter Olympics. She’s also the co-founder of the nonprofit Grassroots Baseball. Fruth’s work celebrates the transformative power of the sport and its impact on youth development. Her book, “Where Legends Begin,” includes an introduction by Cal Ripken Jr. and an afterword by Johnny Bench. She has photographed in every Major League Baseball stadium. The Naked Magicians, March 25

The Wheeler Opera House will present “The Naked Magicians” at 7 p.m. March 25. The illusionists head to Aspen directly from sold-out seasons in Las Vegas and London’s West End. The Naked Magicians mix big illusions and stand-up comedy — wearing nothing but a top hat and a smile. The duo has been seen by millions on network television. Their adults-only act teases, “Good magicians don’t need sleeves. Great magicians don’t need pants.” The performance contains male nudity, sexual references and coarse language. Radical Wednesdays, March 25

Radical Wednesdays are back at Isis Theatre, screening retro ski films every Wednesday in March, 2026.

Don’t miss out on the final installment of the 2026 Radical Wednesdays throwback ski films series. Matchstick Productions’ “Claim, the Greatest Ski Movie…Ever!” (2008) will be screened at 7 p.m. March 18 at Aspen Isis Theatre, hosted by Clay Dahlman and a visit by two-time World Extreme Skiing Champion Kim Reichhelm. The first 40 guests in retro ski attire will receive a $2 beer coupon. Local shops will give away prizes. “Mountainfilm on Tour, The Medley” will be on the big screen at 6:30 p.m. March 26 at the Wheeler Opera House, located 320 E. Hyman Ave. The evening will show a curated set of short documentaries celebrating adventure, legacy and personal expression. Stories range from splitboarding in the San Juan backcountry to surf photography inspired by family memories. The films highlight creativity, mentorship and the joy of outdoor sports. ‘OKAN’ with DanceAspen, March 25, 26, 27

Giving a nod to Women’s history month, JAS partnered with DanceAspen to present “OKAN” in dance performances at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. March 25, at 6:30 p.m. March 26 and 8:30 p.m. March 27 at the Paul JAS Center, located at 422 E. Cooper St. The Afro-Cuban band will play live while DanceAspen dancers improvise in the company’s first collaboration with JAS. OKAN will offer “Soulful Improvisations Unscripted,” led by co-leaders, composers and multi-instrumentalists Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne, who bring a fresh take to Latin and world-jazz fusion. “OKAN’s music draws from traditions where women haven’t always had a seat at the table. Partnering with DanceAspen, a female-founded and female-led company, is a powerful way to celebrate women creating, leading and reshaping the arts together,” Executive Director of DanceAspen Laurel Winton said in a statement. DanceAspen dancers are Nicole Bui, Jonah Delgado, Meredith Harrill, Tyler Kerbel and Jane Mumford.
