Bad Omens have dropped the haunting new single ‘Specter’ with a cinematic music video featuring Sons of Anarchy star Ryan Hurst.

Bad Omens have returned with their new single ‘Specter’, out now via Sumerian Records, accompanied by a cinematic music video. The release follows months of cryptic “goodbye, friend” teasers, signalling the beginning of the band’s next chapter.

Opening with atmospheric production, ‘Specter’ builds into a hard-hitting chorus layered with ominous electronic flourishes. The track asks “do you feel love? I know I don’t,” as frontman Noah Sebastian’s vocals journey through mournful lows and haunting highs – before diving right in on what has become part of quintessential Bad Omens sound with that catchy electronic/heavy music blend that just begs to be danced along to.

Check out the newest Bad Omens track alongside the cinematic music video here and below:

The song’s soundscape is paired with a striking visual directed by Sebastian and Nico, placing viewers in a dark fantasy world that navigates themes of loss, betrayal, and the supernatural. Actor Ryan Hurst, known for Sons of Anarchy and Remember the Titans, appears in the video after being teased in advance through short cinematic clips.

‘Specter’ is the band’s first new non-collaborative single since their RIAA Gold-certified album The Death of Peace of Mind, which pushed Bad Omens to global prominence. The 2022 record has amassed over 2.7 billion streams worldwide and includes the Platinum-certified number one Alternative Radio single ‘Just Pretend’, along with Gold singles ‘Like A Villain’ and ‘Death of Peace of Mind’. In 2024, Bad Omens expanded the album’s universe with Concrete Jungle [The OST], showcasing their experimental edge.

Their 2025 schedule sees the band performing at major festivals including Summerfest, Welcome to Rockville, and Rock Fest, as well as headlining Louder Than Life and Aftershock. This run continues a strong live presence that has included sold-out headline shows in Australia earlier this year, where they played multiple nights in Melbourne and Sydney before closing at Brisbane’s Riverstage.

With ‘Specter’, Bad Omens reaffirm their position as a driving force in modern heavy rock. As they continue to perform to growing crowds and release new music, the band show no signs of slowing their upward momentum.
