A Bellingham summer music survey, from new festivals to the return of After Sounds

From trivia nights and karaoke to book clubs, live music, and Independence Day celebrations, plenty is happening around Ballard from June 29 through July 5.

Check out our weekly roundup, and don’t forget that you can add your own community event to the MyBallard calendar.

Monday, June 29

  • Wrecked Romantasy Book Club: June Meeting, Swoon City, 7 – 9 p.m.
    • Want a romantasy without a 1000 year age gap? Or one when the MMC isn’t so grumpy? We will be reading romantasy books that stray from traditional norms of the genre. The pick for June is Our Rogue Fates by Sarah Glenn Marsh

Tuesday, June 30

  • Music Bingo! EMO NIGHT, Channel Marker Cider, 7 – 9 p.m.
    • Music Bingo at Channel Marker Cider! Test your music knowledge, sing along to your favorite hits, and compete for prizes at our weekly Music Bingo nights. Match songs instead of numbers as you play, enjoy a different theme each week—from throwback classics to pop hits and everything in between—and win fun prizes. Plus, grab dinner from one of our rotating local food trucks.

Wednesday, July 1

  • Trivia with Head in the Clouds, Reuben’s Brews, 7 – 10 p.m.
    • Think you’ve got the answers? We’ll see! Grab a pint, grab your crew, and battle it out for bragging rights (and prizes). Join us every Wednesday for Trivia Night at Reuben’s Brews taprooms! It’s your mid-week brain refresh with a friendly competitive streak. Our trivia hosts keep the pace quick and the categories wide—music, movies, local lore, and the occasional curveball. It’s community tables, cheers for good answers, and no gatekeeping. Build a team or join one on arrival. Either way, you’ll enjoy fresh beer and leave with new facts and a few new friends.

Thursday, July 2

  • Karaoke at Hattie’s Hat, 9:30 – 11 p.m.
    • What’s your go-to karaoke song? We wanna hear it! Round up your friends for karaoke at Hattie’s, Thursday nights at 9:30 🎤✨ in the Back Room.

Friday, July 3

  • First Friday Flash + Book Club @ Old Stove Gardens, 5 – 11 p.m.
    • Join us for an evening of books, brews, and tattoos! Featuring Lost The Plot mobile bookstore, book swap, book club, local artists, & more!
