BBC Studios and Switzerland’s CosmoBlue Media have entered an exclusive strategic partnership designed to expand their footprint across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Turkey.
This deal includes the launch of a new general entertainment channel in the region, the integration of BBC Player into streaming platform CosmoGO, and co-distribution initiatives for BBC Studios’ existing channel portfolio.
BBC Player – BBC Studios’ on-demand multi-genre service featuring dramas, documentaries, and factual content – will be fully integrated into CosmoBlue Media’s streaming service, CosmoGO. Launching in both Turkey and the MENA region, this integration will allow audiences to access British content on-demand.
CosmoBlue Media will exclusively cooperate with BBC Studios on the distribution of linear channels including drama network BBC First, natural history channel BBC Earth and kids’ network CBeebies across multiple territories in the region.
