According to Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will not join the annual Royal Ascot carriage procession. The sisters will reportedly not be allowed in the royal box or to any events with The Firm for the time being.

The punishment comes after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly giving information to Jeffrey Epstein during his time as U.K.’s trade envoy. “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,” Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright confirmed in a statement. “It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offense. We understand the significant public interest in this case and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.” It is not yet confirmed if the former Duke of York will be formally charged.

More of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson‘s ties to Jeffrey Epstein were uncovered in the files released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Despite the scandal, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are sticking by them. “The Yorks are just about holding it together as a family, but this has put new strains on their relationships,” an insider told Daily Mail. “The last I heard, the daughters were still supporting both parents behind the scenes.”
