Christian Bale has finally confirmed his casting in Michael Mann‘s upcoming Heat 2. Bale, who was previously reported as a potential candidate to join the sequel, will mark his reunion with Mann after years, with their previous collaboration dating back to 2009’s Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp. Bale plays the role of real-life FBI agent Melvin Purvis, who was paramount in the manhunt of John Dillinger during the height of the Great Depression (via Rolling Out).
