COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – With Veterans Day fresh on our minds, there is a new exhibit on display at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, giving viewers a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of a film based around war, but it’s through the perspective of the actor.
Actor Matthew Modine has loaned personal belongings and photos to NVMM for the “Full Metal Jacket Diary” exhibit.
The exhibit features images captured by Modine while filming the Stanley Kubrick movie in 1987, offering a look into the making of a war film that critics said “transcend time while also giving the viewer an inside look at the brilliance” of Kubrick, the museum writes on its website.
Modine sits down with NBC4’s Jennifer Bullock to discuss the project.
“Full Metal Jacket Diary” will be on display at NVMM until the end of the year.
