Rocker Liam Gallagher opens up directly with fans over his journey to quitting drugs and alcohol, and how the Oasis reunion tour has helped him stay on track.
The Oasis singer posted on X, “SILKY SMOOTH FIZZY BUBLECH,” a nod to the Adam Sandler movie, Don’t Mess With the Zohan. Instead, a fan took the opportunity to praise Gallagher on staying healthy while on tour and having to “live like a monk.”
In return, Gallagher revealed the Oasis reunion tour has instead “saved his life.”
“Oasis saved my life it’s about time I sorted my nappa out I know how much this means to people so stopping drinking and smoking and snorting Gary baldies are sacrifices that needed to be made thems the rules MCFC,” he said.
Another fan also asked the singer if he misses the occasional Guinness, to which he responded, “Yeah, I miss talking absolute b*llocks when I’m bladdered.”
He later apologized for his language.
Gallagher has been open with fans over his previous drug and alcohol use in his music career, even telling The Guardian in 2017 that he would “rein it in” if he could get a do-over.
In March, a fan also asked Gallagher how he’s been since not drinking, with the Oasis singer revealing he’s fine and “not interested in the booze at the moment.”
“I’ve had enough,” he said.
He’s also been open about no longer using recreational drugs and occasionally smoking a cigarette. In an effort to stay healthy, Gallagher says he’s become disciplined and openly talks to his children about drug and just about “anything.”
Liam and Noel Gallagher kicked off the Oasis Live ’25 Tour in July and will continue with shows through Nov. 23.
