Benson Boone makes his headlining debut in Vancouver this week on his American Heart World Tour.
The Monroe, Washington singer knows Vancouver and the Lower Mainland well, recently adding a number of locations in the area to his list of cool places to hang and fun things to do along his tour stops. Given Monroe’s relative proximity to Vancouver, there is a good chance that Boone made more than a few visits in the past.
A former competitive diver and tennis player, he began his music career appearing on American Idol in 2021 before withdrawing from the talent contest to continue posting music to TikTok. He inked a deal with producer Dan Reynolds’ Night Street Records in 2021 and dropped his debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades in 2024. The record reached the number six spot in the Billboard Global 200, fuelled by the massive popularity of the global hit single Beautiful Things.
Boone gained further acclaim for a rousing cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody at this summer’s Coachella Festival where Queen guitarist Brian May appeared with him on stage. His performances are known for acrobatic displays of both his vocal range and physical fitness.
Boone’s second album, titled American Heart was released on June 25, 2025. The tour takes its name from this release, which was preceded by the song Mystical Magical.
