GUILFORD — “Big Al and Some Guys Band” returns to the Springs Farm for another night of fun, outdoor, danceable rock music from the 1960s forward, this Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m. Audiences are invited to arrive as early as 6 p.m., and to bring a picnic.
Springs Farm is located at 49 Carpenter Hill Road. There is parking at the library, playscape and at the farm for those who need closer access. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Broad Brook Community Center, 3940 Guilford Center Road. The suggested donation is $15; no one will be turned away.
Many locals and school children know lead singer Alex Lacy, the compost coordinator at the Windham Solid Waste Management and member of the Conservation Commission in Guilford. “Most of the time she’s talking trash,” said Springs Farm resident Mary Collins in a press release. “But when she’s with the band, she cleans up nice and has fine singing pipes.”
The Pioneer Valley band features lead singer Lacy, backed up by Ted Diamond on the bass, Jeff Hinrichs on percussion, John Kuhn on guitar, Tim O’Brien on guitar and Bruce Schwartz on keys.
