Black Hole has landed a direct-to-series order at Netflix with Jane Schoenbrun set to adapt Charles Burns’ cult-classic comic series (via Deadline), which was later turned into a graphic novel. Notable for their 2024 hit I Saw the TV Glow, the acclaimed yet underrated horror that even earned Martin Scorsese‘s seal of approval, the upcoming adaptation will mark their first TV series.
Netflix acquired the rights to Burns’ novel from New Regency, which will serve as a co-studio, and Plan B, alongside Burns and Erin Levy, will serve as executive producers. The I Saw the TV Glow director, who serves as a writer and creator, will also direct the episodes for the adaptation.
