Blake Lively secures major win against Justin Baldoni – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni continues to develop after it first was filed in January 2025.

The actress alleged she was sexually harassed on set by her It Ends With us co-star to the point where her husband, Ryan Reynolds, had to get involved. She further claimed the on-set team intervened when a meeting was called to discuss Baldoni’s alleged actions with him. However, Lively said, they allegedly persisted.

In addition to the allegations against Baldoni, she levied similar concerns, including allegations of a smear campaign, against the Wayfarer Studios, the movie’s produciton company, and additional defendants. Among those inlcuded in the “Wayfarer Parties” is the movie’s producer and CEO of Wayfarer, Jamey Heath.

Lively claimed he showed her a video unprompted of his wife, Natasha, giving homebirth. As a result, Lively’s team argued it was a critical piece of evidence and should be included in the discovery process.

Lively alleged, “Mr. Heath approached [her] and her assistant on set and started playing a video of a fully nude woman with her legs spread apart. Ms. Lively thought he was showing her pornography and stopped him. Mr. Heath explained that the video was his wife giving birth.”

Initially, on Aug. 27, 2025, the judge ordered Baldoni’s team to produce the video, but in the new documents, obtained by the Mirror US, Lively’s team claimed they failed to do so.

The recent documents included a request to sanction Wayfarer’s team and reiterated the request to turn over the video. The judge agreed, writing in the legal decision, “Heath shall produce the footage within three days of this Order.”

Heath denied Lively was shown an inappropriate video. When Lively requested the sanctions be imposed on this matter, Wayfarer’s team responded, claiming that the home birth videos were too intimate to be justifiably required to be turned over at this time.

“Lively now contends that she should be allowed to cull through highly intimate and personal footage to find the portions that match her narrative that she was shown the actual birth when, in fact, she was not. The intrusion into the highly sensitive moments of a woman’s labor and birth cannot be justified merely on the claim that Lively may find what she claims she saw,” they said.

The judge conceded the videos were sensitive in “extremely sensitive and deeply personal,” but argued that they are “subject to strict confidentiality provisions preventing public disclosure,” and, therefore; the materials are still able to be procured in discovery, as per the judge’s prior order.

Moreover, Wayfarer’s team argued the order was not clear in the request, which caused them to procure different, less sensitive footage, which Lively claimed wasn’t the one she allegedly saw originally.

The judge didn’t buy the story. In his recent order compelling Heath to turn over the video, the judge said, “Heath lodged no objection to producing all documents concerning the allegation that Lively falsely claimed to have been shown nude images of Heath’s wife, and those documents included ones that not only supported Heath’s allegations, but also any that might have supported Lively’s.”

The Mirror US contacted a representative for Heath and Lively for comment. Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties continue to deny the allegations against them in this litigation.

Previously, Baldoni filed a defamation lawsuit against Lively after she claimed he, with his team, spearheaded a smear campaign against her. However, it was dismissed by a judge.
