Young theatergoers with much to learn about no doubt will want to shout — and sing — when Blippi Live! Join the Band Tour comes to the University of Missouri Concert Series on Oct. 9.
The orange- and blue-class Pied Piper of sorts was originated by performer Stevin John over a decade ago and has become a bonafide children’s entertainment brand. Several different actors now play Blippi depending on the setting.
“For Blippi: Join the Band Tour, the characters Blippi and Meekah will be played by professional stage performers selected specifically for the tour,” the tour’s FAQ page notes.
This particular, music-oriented show is described as full of “fan-favorite songs, laugh-out-loud silliness, and lots of surprises” delivered by Blippi and his pal Meekah.
Tickets are $56-$62 for the Jesse Auditorium date and can be found at https://mizzouarts.missouri.edu/blippi-live-join-the-band-tour/.
