SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – R&B Singer Ray J alarmed concertgoers this weekend at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium during a Valentine’s Day performance, where attendees reported seeing what appeared to be blood coming from his eyes while he performed with a medical dressing visible on his chest.

The incident occurred after the artist was hospitalized in January with pneumonia, and his heart was functioning at 25%, according to videos posted by Ray J online.
Videos circulating online show the performer with blood streaming from his eyes during the intimate Valentine’s Day concert.

Before the weekend show, Ray J posted on Facebook saying he was “putting my life on the line for this show.”
Concert attendee Lamesa F. said she was “genuinely concerned about him and his well-being, and I just wanted him to be okay.”
However, Tommy Nard II of Nard Multimedia Group, who was the behind-the-scenes videographer at the event, questioned the authenticity of the incident.
“He loves the attention. So anybody that knows him it’s all theatrical,” said Nard. Me, I’m behind the scenes, like, what are you doing? So I literally seen him literally put the, you know, the fake blood and things like that and go out there and with the crowd, which was very shocking that he would do something like that.”
Following his January hospitalization, Ray J acknowledged on social media he had been using alcohol, Adderall and drugs. He said his time here was “curved” and that 2027 will be “a wrap” for him.
Representatives for Ray J, his booking agent and the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium did not respond to requests for comment.
